Part of a Series: This is part of a series of Agatha Christie novels featuring Hercule Poirot. There are different readers for other books.
Book tie-in: This is not the original format. It was first published as a novel in 1938.
Plot Summary: Hercule Poirot, the great Belgian detective, is on vacation in the Holy Land when a fellow tourist is killed. He investigates the death even though no one is upset to see the woman gone. Many people have motive and Hercule Poirot must use his ‘little grey cells’ to determine the murderer.
Appeal: This has an intricate plot. It is a cozy mystery. It is read by a British actor who played the role of Captain Hastings in the television series Agatha Christie’s Poirot. It is downloadable to iPods, MP3 players which support DRM-protected WMA content and it is also playable on a PC. It is separated into 5 parts so it is easier to keep track of where the listener left off.
Features: There are no special features.
Prizes or Awards: none
Similar Works: Any other Agatha Christie novel (some possibilities The ABC Murders, Five Little Pigs, Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express or Death in the Clouds) (same style of writing, actors from the tv series reading them (Hugh Fraser-Captain Hastings and David Suchet-Poirot), cozy mysteries) (recommended by the reviewer)
