Plot Summary: When a group of unconnected people across Cardiff, England suddenly fall into a trance/coma after receiving a telephone call, Torchwood, a secret alien investigation/fighting unit, is called into investigate.  When Captain Jack Harkness, an immortal 51st century man, tries calling the number back to investigate, he too becomes a victim and the team must race to find the answer before all of England falls victim.

Appeal: Suspenseful detective story with alien elements, complex relationships between engaging characters, part of a series/franchise.
